In a recent article in Education Week by Jo Boaler, many of us found a lot to object about. Unfortunately current direction in a variety of areas has little to do with objective data but rather focuses on Spin.

He put the an article online with all the details and statistics.
It nicely debunks Jo Boaler's claims and assumptions.
