In every area other than "communications," Singapore Math would fit the bill quite nicely. But somehow I don't see that happening....
That's another myth. When kids understand the math they're learning - they communicate more and the quality of the communication is better. In other words they stay engaged for longer periods of time and more often. That's what improves the quality of the instruction - feedback from students.
Its just more crap - it is so far removed from the day to day classroom that it sickens me just to read it. No connection to reality.
