NSBA adopts position on national standards

The Delegate Assembly of the National School Boards Association has voted to adopt a position on national standards, while still maintaining local control of school districts. While NSBA opposes the federal government developing standards, it does believe that a common set of standards, not mandated by the federal government but supported by it, can lead to raising student achievement.

Both the NSBA and the NSF can be satisfied with their opinions and content with their knowing. They can make an ant hill into a mountain, but it don't mean a thing when it comes to improving education. Fools rush in where fools have been before.
